KAREN-MARIE KLIP & PAPIR A/S

Karen-Marie Klip & Papir A/S and Papirmuseets By A/S are under the same roof. We live in a 800m2 large house, build as a town with streets, a café, papermuseum, storage and production facilities. You can easily spend a day in Papirmuseets By A/S in Gråsten - bringing back home a lot of inspiration for the most beautiful quilling projects, origami, ideas for cards, invitations, bags etc.
You can be creative yourself - take a seat in the café and just go ahead, we will gladly help you. Or you can try out the techniques in our “technique bar”.
You can even get in christmas mood all year in Christmas Alley.

WHAT IS QUILLING?

During the renaissance, nuns and monks used quilling to decorate book covers and religious items. The paper used was strips of paper trimmed from the gilded edges of books. These gilded paper strips were then rolled to create the quilled shapes.
Quilling is a technique that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs.
