House Fair 2020

The dates for the House Fair are January 24th and 25th 2020 from 10am-4pm.

Twice a year we have a house fair in Papirmuseets By, Bomhusvej 3, 6300 Gråsten. Everyone from the customer club and our retailers are welcome to join (if you are not yet a member you can join the customer club for free). Join our courses and come see the newly decorated store and get inspired by all the news. We have many great offers and gifts for everyone. You can be part of the creative courses and learn new things. You will learn quilling techniques and we will create different quilling figures over the courses of 2 days. The courses are for beginners as well as experienced quillers.

By purchasing a house fair ticket here on the website, you will be registered. You may also come and purchase a ticket at our physical store the Papirmuseets By in Gråsten. A ticket for the courses for Friday costs € 20,55. and a ticket for the courses for Saturday also costs € 20,55. You are welcome to join both days or just one day. If you have purchased a house fair ticket you are registered as a course participant.

9.30am: The doors open
10.00am-12.30pm: Morning course
12.30pm-1.30pm: Karen-Marie gives FREE lunch to all students (during this time the courses have a BREAK)
1.30pm-4.00pm: Afternoon course

Themes for the courses

Remember: Bring your own quilling tools (scissors, boards, pen, comb, needles, glue, 3 mm tape, etc.), or else you have the option to purchase it in the store. We will guide beginners. All materials such as strips, papers and templates can also be purchased at the store.

Karen-Marie Klip & Papir A/S and Papirmuseets By A/S are under the same roof. We live in a 800m2 large house, build as a town with streets, a café, papermuseum, storage and production facilities. You can easily spend a day in Papirmuseets By A/S in Gråsten - bringing back home a lot of inspiration for the most beautiful quilling projects, origami, ideas for cards, invitations, bags etc.
You can be creative yourself - take a seat in the café and just go ahead, we will gladly help you.
You can even get in christmas mood all year in Christmas Alley.


During the renaissance, nuns and monks used quilling to decorate book covers and religious items. The paper used was strips of paper trimmed from the gilded edges of books. These gilded paper strips were then rolled to create the quilled shapes.
Quilling is a technique that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs.
